This 5-day InDesign training class is a thorough course covering the concepts and skills to use Adobe InDesign effectively for professional publishing. It is designed to efficently take you from an InDesign beginner to expert.
Through hands-on practice working with basic through advanced techniques you will learn to use InDesign for creating print documents as well as publishing to tablets and eBooks,
Participants will learn type controls, graphics file management, layers and document setup. Whether you are a designer, pre-press professional or just a beginner, Participants will find InDesign to be a powerful but intuitive page layout application.
With in-depth instruction on how to maximize Participants efficiency with quick keys, importing and exporting complicated files, and working with styles, including the nesting of styles. Increase Participants ability to work within tables, table styles and graphics within tables the ease of utilizing transparency and Photoshop Blending Modes will make it easy for Participants to integrate Illustrator files and work with type and photo effects from Photoshop.

This class is a discounted combination of the InDesign 101 , InDesign 201 and InDesign 301 classes. For student cancellation purposes, each separate component is treated as a separate class. We schedule our InDesign 101 and InDesign 201 classes in the same week so we offer a discount on the bundle of classes. This bundle/workshop provides a significant discount off of our regular pricing. Our standard policy for all bundled workshops is that once one of the classes in the bundle, package or workshop is attended, no refunds are available for unused portions of the bundle. Student rescheduling is available under our regular policies.
Who Should Attend
This 5-day Adobe InDesign training class is recommended by Adobe for creative professionals seeking the fastest, easiest, most comprehensive way to learn Adobe InDesign.
This class is appropriate for those with little to no prior knowledge of using Adobe InDesign. Intermediate InDesign users with no formal training will also benefit from this class as tips, tricks, keyboard shortcuts and essential foundational InDesign skills are covered throughout this class. The class is also appropriate for those responsible for managing the workflow of a team of production artists as well as those who typically outsource much of their creation process but desire increased control and flexibility when editing and updating InDesign documents.
- No prior experience of InDesign is needed to attend this class. It is expected that users have a basic understanding of why and how they expect to use InDesign for publishing their documents. Bringing samples of desired or previous work is helpful but not required.
- We recommend that you have access to the Adobe InDesign software before starting the class. You can purchase InDesign or obtain a free trial version from the Adobe website.
- Knowledge of your operating system and basic computer navigation is required for all classes.
